EDA melts are made using natural soy wax and pure essential oils or natural fragrances only, no artificial fragrances, meaning they are natural.
Why do we use soy wax?
Because the wax is made from soy beans and is non toxic, biodegradable and can be easily cleaned up.
And if you know EDA and what we strive to do, pure essential oils are the only scents we use for their ultimate ‘aromatherapeutic’ benefits.
Soy wax candles can burn up to 50% longer than paraffin wax candles, and if cared for correctly will not create the black smoke, soot and other nasties that paraffin wax, derived from petroleum, coal or oil shale, does.
Soy wax melts do not evaporate like water so are a safe alternative to using water in your oil burner.
Soy wax also burns cooler than most other waxes, making it more child and pet friendly. That is not to say you should keep your heated melts or any melted candle within reach of children or pets because they still contain heat and should be kept out of their reach.
Soy wax can also be easily cleaned up using just warm soapy water, so spills are easy to manage.
Melts are clean, easy and long lasting.
Each set of EDA Natural Soy Melts come in a re-sealable container called a clam shell. There are six melts per set and hold one scent or blend per set. The essential oil in each melt will last up to eight hours so that is an incredible 48 hours of aromatherapy per pack.
HOW TO USE A MELT
Simply snap a natural soy wax melt cube off and put your melt in the top of your oil burner and, if using an electric vapouriser – turn it on, or if a manual vapouriser – light a tea light and place it underneath the dish where the wax melt is placed. The heat will melt the wax which will in turn release the essential oil vapours.
USING MELTS SAFELY
- Ensure the oil burner dish is dry and clean.
- Always check your oil burner for any cracks before use.
- Light a tea light candle and place it underneath the dish where the wax melt will be placed.
- Do not add water or oils to the dish when using a melt.
- Do not try to light the melt directly.
- Once the tea light is extinguished the melt will harden.
If you want to change to another scented melt, just pour the slightly cooled wax back into the clam shell container and wipe out your melt burner with paper towel to clean.
